Jennifer’s birthday 🎂

Jennifer celebrated her birthday at Olive Hill Farm… breakfast in bed, online church, a Zoom meeting with the family and then an evening get together with all the campers and the Leggate family (hosts/farmers) around a camp fire. Emma (Benji & Helen’s daughter_see photo) baked a chocolate birthday cake!

Our generous hosts

Nothing is too much trouble for either Benji or Helen. Lending a helping hand or providing that little item that you didn’t bring on your travels eg a winter doona for these cold winter nights. They supply freshly baked (Benji is the baker) complimentary bread every 2nd day to all the travellers… Yum 😋.

COVID “Relaxation”

Our 1st day after almost 6 weeks to get out and be a “tourist” in the Margaret River region. Packed a picnic lunch, headed for the The Chocolate Company and then to the coast. Such a beautiful part of this country… so many vineyards.

….and then onto Canal Rocks.

Tree walk to the river

Birds and butterflies, peace and serenity, soft under foot for a 1km walk to the river. Flew the drone to simulate the walk through the trees to Margaret River (followed by the drone crashing during the “shoot “).

Night sky

Cold autumn evening, clear sky at Olive Hill Farm. A fellow camper had a fire (smoke is visible) and lights (left hand photo)

ANZAC

We listened to the service from Canberra at 5:30am with the other campers at the homemade flagpole.
Then had bbq breakfast (social distance observed). Three of the men are ex Navy and two of them wore their medals.
