Lake Elphinstone

Peaceful free camp for 2 nights. Less than a dozen caravans or tents on 1st night, a few more the second. Due to a lack of rain, the lake capacity was reduced, the water temperature was increasing so their were algae blooms. Council had posted warnings… don’t drink or swim! The wind was strong during the day.

Looking for turtles

At the water’s edge, at the front of the caravan park, 3 turtles popped their heads above the water line but the speed at which they took breath & the wait in between breaths made it sooo difficult to take a photo. The photo is of the “turtle spotter” 😊

Murray Beach 🏝

Flying the drone was not possible. What we thought was a compass calibration issue turned to be not this but attempting to take off in a “no fly zone” ie within 5 km of an airport ☹️. So we walked into Murray beach instead…
