Sue & Tony (Perth)

COVID 19 delayed our visit to cousin Sue and husband Tony. Living on a property just outside Perth we were warmly welcomed. Our 3 days with them were very special including visiting Uncle Ray & Aunty June in their aged care home and Wayne visiting for lunch. Our last meal was a dinner we shall remember for many years.

Farewell O.H.F.

We have just left this ” home away from home” after spending 10 weeks at Olive Hill Farm during COVID lockdown. Our hosts Benji, Helen and the children could not be faulted in their care for us. We regularly walked through the tall trees to the river and over the two months watched the colours change to red and gold. Other walks on the dirt roads took us past lush paddocks with cows, kangaroos, sheep and bird life. Our accommodation was on a spacious level site with the olive trees providing privacy between campers. We loved the opportunity to sit at the fire under the stars and enjoyed this family friendly place.

O.H.F. is expanding

Helen & Benji are planning to double the size of the campground. To support their council submission I was asked to produce a high def photo of the exisiting site. With a flight height restriction of 120m, this image was produced from a composite of 20+ frames extracted from 4K video footage. The drone flew across the campground in 3 parallel rows to secure the full site shots.

Fishing

Michael & Phil are seasoned travellers and experienced fishermen. There was no better time to ask them for fishing tuition while staying at O.H.F. We headed off early to a relatively in accessible location (4WD only), west of Margaret River. Conditions were good, tide rising… and the results speak for themselves. Thanks for the lesson guys. My take was 5 herring (one got away!). Filleted and cooked on the BBQ.
