Camp oven cooking

Fire restrictions have been lifted so we are now preparing slow cook meals for the fire pit. The 1st meal, cooked for 3+ hours, was lamb shanks and vegetables (9!)

Another couple depart O.H.F.

With W.A.regional restrictions being eased, a couple who have been living here for the past 7 weeks have decided to leave to be Camp Hosts up north. Drinks around the communal fire pit, a farewell dinner in the kitchen followed by sitting around the fire while Benji played the bagpipes! Great night.

Generator

Finally decided to buy a generator. The wintery months with cloudy weather has reduced solar production. So rather than not be able to have a decent coffee or use the electric blankets etc we bought a generator.

O.H.F. song

Jennifer composed words to John Denver song to reflect our stay at Olive Hill Farm. Very clever! Sung for the 1st time to fellow camps at the camp kitchen during Mother’s Day evening drinks by the fire. Jennifer sang and we recorded the song (below)

Margaret River Markets

Margaret river could be the hippie or alternate lifestyle capital of W.A. I felt quite out of sorts with shoes and (very) short hair! Great place to buy fresh produce, organics, honey etc. on a Saturday morning.
