Zebra stones

Visited the workshop & showroom. The pieces bought are simple off cuts. The more intricate items are works of art… sculptures of animals small and large

Ivanhoe Crossing

Have been looking forward to doing this crossing for some time. This concrete causeway was built over the Ord River and remains in flow year round. The current from the river is very strong. Estuarine crocodiles can be seen at Ivanhoe Crossing, so the area is not safe for swimming.

Morning walk

Early morning breakfast, a walk around Lake Kununurra followed by online church… a great start to our day.

BBQ Pontoon

Hired a BBQ pontoon for the afternoon to cruise, swim, cook lunch & relax on Lake Argyle

Lake Argyle

Nice to see fresh water vista and less red dust/dirt… Lake Argyle is Western Australia’s largest and Australia’s second largest freshwater man-made reservoir by volume.

Infinity Pool (it was cold)

“Adventure” of a different kind

A reminder of the dangers of travelling in the outback. Our neighbour, Nadja, at the Bungle Bungles caravan park was bitten by a snake while inside the family’s van. Fortunately she received the help she needed and thanks to Jennifer, caravan staff, Halls Creek Medical Centre & R.F.D.S. (flight from Halls Creek to Broome hospital). Nadja has made a full recovery.
