Travelling on the Peninsula Development Road the road conditions varied considerably. From well sealed to poorly maintained gravel sections with many floodways and dips.

THE adventure begins. We departed Cairns (after dropping off the caravan) for Cooktown via Lakeland with high expectations. Set up the tent in no time flat. 1st Cooktown’s sunset was amazing by the shores of the Endeavour river and from the Grassy Lookout.
