Mackay (Day 2)

Didn’t expect to see whales today!

Then travelled west to Finch Hatton Gorge to check out the flying fox, a walk into the rainforest and maybe a swim!

Heading towards Rockhampton

We chose 2 overnight stays having departed the Sunshine Coast… one a free camp and the other a farmstay. Both, like the whole region, is suffering from severe drought.

Free camp… The publican was friendly and informative while we enjoyed a drink or 2.
